We serve as the collective voice of lawyers in Nauru, governed by an elected Council that oversees education, admissions, professional standards and public engagement

2016

Founded

A group of local practitioners established the Nauru Law Society to unite the profession, promote standards, and improve access to justice.

2018

Training & Outreach

Launched continuing legal education (CLE) and community legal clinics to strengthen local legal skills and serve residents.

2019

Membership & Governance

Expanded membership, formalised governance and mentoring programs, and introduced clearer professional standards and complaint pathways.

2025

Digital access & facilities upgrade

Completed the RONLAW migration (Oct 2025), improved online access to Nauru’s laws, and refurbished the Counsel Room—strengthening both digital infrastructure and member services.
