With support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and funding from the Government of Australia, the NLS Counsel Room has been fully refurbished. Upgrades include:
- New office furniture and ergonomic seating;
- Video-conferencing facilities and a large display television;
- Improved lighting and dedicated research workspace;
- Secure storage and access controls for court papers and reference materials.
Impact: The refurbished Counsel Room provides a modern, functional hub for lawyers to meet clients, hold case conferences, attend online hearings and access legal resources — contributing directly to higher-quality legal services and better client outcomes.
